Boulderix is a demonstration multi-vendor marketplace for mineral specimens. It shows how independent dealers can list rocks, crystals, and gem material with a shared, structured vocabulary — a real mineral taxonomy, standardized color and geographic origin, and photographs taken with a scale reference so buyers can judge size.
It is a working prototype: a place to try the end-to-end experience — browsing, classifying, photographing, ordering, and even trading — before any of it goes near a real catalog or real money.
Experiment freely as both a vendor and a customer: open a store and list your own specimens, or sign up as a shopper and place a demonstration order. Poke at the barter flow, promotions, and reviews too. Because this is a test site with fictional data, nothing is charged and nothing ships.
Specimens are tagged against a polyhierarchical mineral taxonomy, with standardized color and geographic origin.
A phone/browser wizard takes 1–6 photos, resizes and compresses them to WebP on-device, and uploads them — no desktop editing. Attributes are entered manually.
Checkout records the order and emails the vendor, the platform, and the shopper. No card is charged.
Swap specimens instead of paying: two-sided trades valued in RockToken, agreed only when both sides consent.
Dealers open a store, add specimens (by hand or with the phone capture wizard), set shipping, pick a brand theme, and run sales and coupons. Trade offers and reviews arrive in the vendor dashboard.
Browse and search by taxonomy, color, and origin; zoom into scale-referenced photos; read verified-buyer reviews; and check out as a guest or with an account.
Boulderix is currently a test site and all of its data is fictional. The vendors, specimens, prices, stock levels, orders, reviews, colors, origins, and user accounts shown here are synthetic sample data created to demonstrate the platform — they do not describe real people, real businesses, or real merchandise.
Nothing on this site is for sale. No payments are processed, no money is collected, and no physical items are shipped. Any order you place creates a demonstration record and sends test email; treat everything you see as illustrative only.
